RMBR is a kombucha and functional beverage brand based in Chicago, IL. Co-founders Jack Joseph and Kiara started it straight out of college to make non-alcoholic drinks more accessible in social settings: a tea-forward kombucha, with the vinegary taste dialled out and a little caffeine for a midday boost.
RMBR launched in 2022 in coffee shops and food service, moved into retail at the turn of 2024 and is now in about a thousand stores nationwide, run by a team of three plus a broker network.
As RMBR scaled production, it faced the sourcing and cash-flow pressures common to fast-moving beverage brands. Paying suppliers upfront for organic cane sugar and other inputs pulled cash away from growth, and coordinating ingredient and packaging suppliers created ongoing admin. With a three-person team, ordering and supplier communication sat with the founders, time that needed to go into sales.
“
Having someone to help manage the supplier communication and the orders – it feels like an extension of our team.
Jack Joseph, Co-Founder & President, RMBR
RMBR has sourced through Opply since September 2025, and in early 2026 formalised the relationship with a dedicated order-management and financing agreement. Opply pays suppliers on RMBR’s behalf on extended terms, sources inputs such as organic cane sugar and handles supplier relationships and approvals. SKU-based ordering and one-click reordering keep every brewing cycle supplied, with orders, invoices and credit in one dashboard.
“
We’ve been able to invest in more inventory to fuel our growth. Since we don’t necessarily have the cash on hand, being able to purchase raw materials and invest in inventory for new opportunities has been helpful.
Jack Joseph, Co-Founder & President, RMBR
How Opply helps
Opply pays suppliers on RMBR’s behalf and gives up to 90 days to pay, so ingredients are secured now and cash stays free for growth.
SKU-based ordering and one-click reordering keep every brewing cycle supplied without manual re-work.
Inputs such as organic cane sugar sourced for them, with supplier relationships and approvals handled on RMBR’s behalf.
Orders, invoices and credit in a single dashboard, giving a three-person team transparency and control over spend.
The results
In under a year, Opply has gone from a first order to the engine behind RMBR’s supply chain, with every brewing cycle sourced and financed through one platform. That’s around $130K of ingredients and packaging financed since September 2025, cash that stayed free for growth instead of sitting in inventory. With ordering off the founders’ plate, RMBR won chain-wide expansion with The Fresh Market across the Southeast, and renewed and expanded its agreement with Opply in 2026.
“
It’s taken time off my plate and given me the opportunity to focus more on sales, which has led to things like expanding into The Fresh Market.
Jack Joseph, Co-Founder & President, RMBR
